People looking for cafe jobs in Wales have been given a boost by the news that an establishment in Snowdonia is set to open its doors after widespread support from the local community.

The BBC reported that the deli and cafe in Llanfrothen near Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd, will protect five full-time roles and another two part-time positions.

"A local survey showed clearly that people favoured opening a cafe and deli counter in order to attract the hundreds of visitors who pass the shop every week," project chairman Glyn Griffiths told the news provider.

It added that the new establishment will use locally-sourced produce and sell art that was made in the surrounding area, as well as creating cafe jobs.

A new community cafe has been given the green light in Edinburgh, according to Guardian blogger Tim Allan, who said that the establishment will replace several eateries which have closed down over recent years.
