Dish secures contract catering job with Merlin

Dish could be set to create more contract catering jobs in London after securing a deal with Merlin Entertainment's new floating London Eye Barracuda venue.

The agreement will see Dish create an exclusive range of canape, lunch, dinner and bowl menus for the establishment, and cater for more than 100 events per year.

Prime ministers, pop stars, actors and royalty have all attended functions on board the Barracuda, which is able to dock at the London Eye and Canary Wharf Pier.

It can offer riverboat parties and networking events for 230 guests, while seated awards dinners and dinner dances have a maximum capacity of 140 people.

General manager of Merlin Events Michael Aldridge said Dish has a reputation for developing contemporary food at reasonable prices.

Nick James, director of the contract catering firm, added: "We are delighted to have been awarded the listing and are excited to create new dishes for a variety of events on the stunning river cruiser."
