BaxterStorey lands contract catering job at MediaCityUK

New contract catering jobs in the north-west could be created by BaxterStorey, which has landed a new deal at the BBC's MediaCityUK headquarters.

The agreement between BaxterStorey and Balfour Beatty Workplace will see the company cater for around 2,300 employees at the BBC North base at restaurants, deli bars and coffee outlets.

Internal hospitality requirements will also be handled by BaxterStorey under the contract catering deal, which is set to run for three years.

Noel Mahony, chief executive of BaxterStorey, said leading employers still recognise the importance of offering their staff high-quality food and drink even during the current economic climate.

"Our proposition is very much focused on delivering seasonal food and assured provenance, along with outstanding service and close client relationships," he added.

This combination allows the company to continue securing contracts, Mr Mahony stated.

Since it was established in 2003, the firm has seen a rapid increase in turnover, rising from £101 million in 2005 to £240 million last year.
