Montcalm hotel awards contract catering job to Sodexo Prestige

New contract catering jobs in London could be created by Sodexo Prestige, which is set to take over the food and beverage operation at the five-star Montcalm hotel.

The company has landed a ten-year deal worth £30 million to provide all the food and drink at the 150-bedroom hotel, located at the top of Park Lane.

This agreement will include the running of the Montcalm's new restaurant and bar The Grill, which opened its doors last month.

Executive chef Andrew Ives will oversee the eatery and its menu, including foie gras torchon on toasted brioche with honey and pickled vegetables and spatchcock corn-fed chicken.

David Johnson, leisure and sport managing director at Sodexo Prestige, commented: "Adding the Montcalm hotel to our portfolio will strengthen our business significantly in this market sector."

In the 12 months to August 31st, Sodexo saw its operating profit rise by 10.6 per cent, while its net income increased by 10.3 per cent.
