Contract catering firm wins Manchester deal

A major contract catering firm is to provide meals and hospitality services at the Manchester offices of a manufacturing firm, it has been reported.

Olive Catering Services has been contracted to cater for 300 staff members at SSL, the firm which produces Scholl footwear products, according to Caterer.

Andrew Norrie, the director of the firm, told the publication: "There's a lot of quality businesses around those cities and a real opportunity for a caterer like us."

Caterer also reports that a further deal in Leeds is in the pipeline, but provided no further details.

The deals could spell good news for those interested in contract catering careers, with Olive Catering recently being recognised for its commitment to its staff at the Warwickshire Employer of Choice last month.

The firm received a special achievement award at the event after winning praise for its provision of flexible working arrangements and benefits.

Merle Bayliss, the event organiser, said: "Olive Catering have shown exceptional commitment to this crucial area whilst experiencing extremely fast growth over the last three years."
