A new restaurant development in the Ribble Valley could offer dozens of catering jobs and restaurant work to local workers.
The Spread Eagle pub in Barrow, Lancashire, has been taken over by Kevin Berkins, who has already transformed the Fence Gate Inn at Fence and is hoping to repeat the feat with his new venture.
Renamed The Eagle in reference to its former title, the new restaurant will be open in the summer and will require a large staffing roll if it is to compare to the Fence Gate Inn.
"It will have a brasserie, public bar and a large bar area for food," Mr Berkins told This Is Lancashire.
"There is also going to be a premium bar that might have a grand piano in it and there will also be an al fresco area at the entrance.
"The first floor will house a function room."
He added that the refurbishment will create a lot of full and part time jobs for bar workers and pub managers, although he is not sure yet on exact numbers.
He added: "We have 105 staff at the Fence Gate, both full and part-time, so it will be a biggish staff recruitment at the new restaurant."
