A brand new £120 million development planned for the east Yorkshire region could create more then 800 local jobs, a public inquiry has been told.
East Riding council has already approved the plans for the derelict former Clariant chemical factory and Museum of Army transport site in Flemingate, reports thisishullandeastriding.co.uk
A hotel, cinema, offices, homes and a college would all be incorporated in the new complex.
Town planning expert Tim Waring said the development would create upwards of 800 jobs, most of which would be new to Beverley which may be of note to those interested in hospitality recruitment.
He pointed out that the plans will have a "major positive regeneration impact" on the region.
"Previously developed land, within urban areas, in accessible locations such as this application site, is deemed to be the most suitable location for new development," he added.
Elsewhere, accountants and business advisers PKF recently claimed that the hotel business in Leeds is healthy.
