The Quality Hotel Edinburgh has been named as Scotland's best airport-based guest accommodation at the Scottish Hotel Awards, rewarding the hard work of those working in hospitality jobs at the site.

Owned and operated by Chardon Management, the 95-bedroom facility caters for both travellers and corporate conference visitors alike.

It is reported to be popular for its Wi-Fi access, 24-hour room service, award-winning La Bonne Auberge Brasserie and breakfast in a bag offering.

General hotel manager Jason Dombrower said the hotel was "delighted" to accept the prestigious award, which he said recognises the quality and service offered to both leisure and business travellers in Edinburgh.

The Quality brand and Choice Hotels Europe are part of the global group Choice Hotels International, which franchises the Comfort, Clarion and Sleep Inn brands.

Earlier this month, the Scotsman reported that Frasers Hospitality will construct a 120-room four-star complex in Edinburgh city centre, bringing new hotel jobs to the Scottish capital.
