People with hotel jobs are used to finding some weird and wonderful surprises in guests' rooms, a new study has revealed.
The survey by Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express found that a blow-up sheep, dentures, a false leg and a Gucci watch are among the items left by careless visitors.
In total, hotel managers report that some £2.5 million worth of items are found in rooms once the occupiers have vacated.
Phone chargers were the most common forgotten item, being left by 42,000 holidaymakers.
Commenting on the findings, Jane Bednall, from Holiday Inn, said: "It's quite unbelievable just how much is left behind by our guests each year. The phone chargers would easily stretch across the English Channel."
InterContinental Hotels Group which owns Holiday Inn operates 63,000 hotel rooms, across 4,300 hotels in almost 100 nations. It hosts over 180 million guests a year.
