A total of 90 hotel jobs are available at the new Holiday Inn facility in Hampshire, which is due to open in spring 2010.
There are opportunities for a variety of hospitality roles including working as a chef in the hotel's kitchens, reports the Southern Daily Echo.
Hotel manager Siobhan Thomasson said she was hoping to employ local people who know the area well.
"The hotel is going to be an exciting place to work, with guests travelling from all over the world.
"In uncertain economic times, for such a well-known brand like Holiday Inn to open a hotel in Winchester is great news and by providing jobs in the local area will further boost the local economy," she added.
The hotel, which is being built at Morn Hill at a cost of £16.5 million, will boast contemporary design, with a double-height, glass-fronted reception.
A new 18-bedroom boutique hotel recently opened on the site of the Seaton Lane Inn in Sunderland, boosting hospitality jobs prospects in the area.
