International hotel chain Marriott is to open a new venue which will create hotel jobs in Hull, according to thisishullandeastriding.co.uk.
The 185-bedroom will open at the Manor Mill scheme a city centre development and will feature conference rooms and a fitness centre.
Next to Drypool Bridge, the Manor Mill will create 400 jobs and will be operated by Marriott under its Courtyard brand. It will be only the second to be built in the UK.
Phil Akrill, managing director of Manor Property Group, said that the development would re-energise the area as well as create new facilities.
He told the news provider: "We hope our initiative sends out a positive message. The development will not only create numerous new facilities for the city but re-energise the east bank."
Elsewhere, West Berkshire Council recently granted permission for Newbury Racecourse to go ahead with plans for a development which could create hotel jobs in Berkshire.
