One of the biggest hotel chains in the UK has opened up a new facility in Essex, which has given a boost to people looking for hotel jobs in the region.
Travelodge opened the new establishment in Bishop's Stortford and it is seen as a key site for the chain, because of the hotel's location close to Stansted Airport and London.
Paul Harvey, Travelodge's managing director for development, said that the opening of the new hotel has got the company's growth pipeline off to a flying start.
He said: "With three former three-star properties converted and re-opened as Travelodge hotels so far this year, we have managed to enter new towns like Bishop's Stortford for the first time."
Hotel jobs in Edinburgh have been buoyed by the news that one of the UK's biggest chains is going to expand its operation in the city by opening two new establishments.
