Organisers of one of the biggest hospitality awards in Scotland are searching for nominees for a lifetime achievement accolade, which recognises the work of long-serving caterers and restaurant staff.

The Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland is looking for nominees, who can work in any sector of the Scottish hospitality, catering, leisure and tourism industry.

"Guests will be in for a culinary treat with a dinner prepared by Michelin-starred chefs Martin Wishart and Geoff Bland. Over 400 guests are expected to attend the event held at Glasgow's Radisson Blu hotel in the city centre," it stated.

Around 10,000 students have benefited from the trust's bursary project since it started in 1992 and this year's industry dinner will take place on March 18th.

In other news, celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal recently created around 16 jobs when he brought his new menu to the tables of Little Chef in Kettering.
