A number of hotel jobs could be created in Londonderry if plans for a new venue in the Northern Irish city are given the go-ahead.
Hotel magnate Lord Diljit Rana has put forward proposals to build a £10 million hotel at the former location of the Tillie and Henderson building, the Belfast Telegraph reports.
The plans feature a 5,600 sq m building with glass frontage at the Carlisle Circus and Abercorn Road junction.
This would contain a 139-bedroom hotel, two retail units, 15 apartments and parking facilities.
Lord Rana's son Rajesh told Derry City Council that they were to apply to Invest NI for funding for the project.
"This is an important site for Derry but it is also an expensive site to develop," the newspaper reports Rajesh as saying.
Back in December, Andras House Limited announced plans to build a £10 million hotel complex in Londonderry, which it said would create around 80 hotel jobs.
