A landmark hotel in Hartlepool has been named one of the very best the UK has to offer, which may interest those seeking hospitality jobs in the north-east region of England.
The Grand Hotel, in Swainson Street, has been granted an International Quality Award (IQA) for the second consecutive year, allowing it to rank seventh in a league of almost 300 Best Western sites, the Hartlepool Mail reports.
The hotel, which is owned by Tavistock Leisure and scored a total of 977 points out of a possible 1,000, creates a range of hospitality jobs in the region, from housekeeping to bar staff opportunities and chef jobs.
Keith Donkin, director of Tavistock Leisure, said the firm was "delighted" to have been recognised for its achievements.
"The fact that this is the second successive year we have achieved an IQA proves that we don't rest on our laurels and that we constantly look for areas in which we can build on our success," he added.
Tavistock leisure operates a growing chain of bars, restaurants and hotels across the north-east of England, providing a broad number of hospitality recruitment opportunities throughout the region.
