Sleeperz Hotels to open Newcastle branch in December

Receptionist jobs in Newcastle could be created by the opening of a new hotel later this year.

Sleeperz Hotels has announced its first establishment in the north-east will open its doors in the city centre in December, with 25 hotel jobs set to be created at the 98-bedroom property.

The development comes as part of the company's plans to create a network of inner-city hotels in locations across the UK.

Its first hotel, a 74-bedroom establishment in Cardiff located just a minute's walk from the Welsh capital's central station, opened in 2008 and Sleeperz is also looking to create branches in London, Liverpool and Manchester.

David Myers, chief executive of Sleeperz Hotels, said north-east England has a reputation for offering visitors a warm welcome.

"We would like local people to play a big part in delivering great service to our customers and inspiring people to return to the region again and again," he added.
