Hotel and leisure complex set to open in Llanelli

Revenue manager jobs in Wales could be created at a planned cinema, hotel and leisure complex in the town of Llanelli.

Speaking to BBC Wales News, Scott Davidson of Henry Davidson Developments expressed confidence that the site will be one of the few new developments of its kind in the UK to open in 2012.

It is believed about 175 jobs will be available at the complex, known as East Gate, with around 80 of these set to be created during the construction phase.

Office space, restaurants, bars and small retail units will also be situated at the development, along with a bus interchange that has already opened.

Mr Davidson commented: "We are very pleased with the progress but there is a lot of work still to do.

"It's one of the most difficult periods in terms of the economy we have seen."

Henry Davidson Developments is wholly owned by London-based Development Securities, a company with a net worth of £238 million.
