Hotel jobs could be generated on the Isle of Man if the plan from its Department for Economic Development to create a five-star hotel and casino on the island go ahead.
It has already made potential deals with a number of parties and will continue to accept declarations of interest until the end of the month.
The development is expected to create a number of jobs in the leisure and gaming sectors and encourage tourist trade and further investment in the island.
No limit exists on the number of slot machines allowed in an establishment in the Isle of Man, making it an attractive prospect for the gambling industry.
Tim Craine, director of the department of economic development, said: "We hope that development of a new hotel and casino will be a catalyst for growing visitor business on the island through the next decade."
The Isle of Man has a population of roughly 80,000 people and is situated in the Irish Sea between Ireland and the UK.
