Hospitality recruitment in London could be given a boost by the news Thompsons Hotels, a group with a portfolio of luxury establishments in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto, is set to open a new development in the capital city.
Set up as a joint venture with the Harilela Group, the hotel is in London's Belgravia district and hopes to bring a conjunction of British and American style to the area.
Jason Pomeranc, co-owner of Thompson Hotels, said he expected the new establishment to have an impact on Londoners and international travellers alike.
"As with all our Thompson Hotels, guests can expect impeccable service and style from Belgraves," added his partner Stephen Brandman.
The 85-room hotel will incorporate a restaurant and bar as well as a large lounge-style lobby.
According to the latest survey from TRI Hospitality Consulting, London's hoteliers enjoyed a successful 2011, with profit per room going up by 4.7 per cent last year.
