A new eatery is set to open in Liverpool city centre, creating many hospitality jobs in the area.
Food entrepreneur Amjad Bashir has signed a deal to open his third Zouk restaurant in the north-west city, the Telegraph and Argus reports.
The new 5,000 sq ft restaurant, which is set to cost around £2 million, will open in around 18 months once construction of the site is completed.
Mr Bashir has more than 30 years' experience in the restaurant business and runs Zouk with his sons Tayub and Mudassar and daughter Habiba.
"We have ambitious plans to keep expanding the Zouk business and … we are still looking for suitable sites with the ultimate aim of developing the Zouk concept into a franchise operation," Mr Bashir said.
A £1 million Zouk restaurant opened in Manchester's media quarter last year.
Back in May, Marco Pierre White announced that he is to open a Steakhouse Bar and Grill in Liverpool next spring.
