Jason Atherton to create restaurant jobs in London?

Top British chef Jason Atherton could create many restaurant jobs in London when he opens his new venue, Pollen Street Social, later this year.

Mr Atherton was the executive chef at Gordon Ramsay's Michelin-starred Maze restaurant until May of this year and Pollen Street Social will be his first independent restaurant.

"Pollen Street Social is my chance to create exactly the sort of restaurant I would love to eat, drink and socialise at," he said.

Mr Atherton went on to say that it will not just be a place that people go to on special occasions, but a place that they attend for "all sorts of reasons and can't wait to return to".

The restaurant is located on Pollen Street, close to Hanover Square in the heart of Mayfair, London.

Earlier this month, the London Evening Standard reported that a new Chinese restaurant, the Hakkasan, is to open in Bruton Place, Mayfair, in November.
