Head chef jobs could be up for grabs in Manchester after Living Ventures announced plans to create the north-west city's first Michelin-starred restaurant in the prestigious Spinningfields development.
Managing director Tim Bacon expects to invest over £1 million in producing the dining establishment, which he told the Manchester Evening News would be an exclusive experience.
He expressed his excitement at the project, claiming it is "about time" Manchester got its own Michelin-starred eatery.
Mr Bacon played an important part in transforming the nightlife of the Spinningfields, introducing a number of bars and restaurants to the area including the Alchemist, the Oast House and Peppermint Bay.
"It's going to be an ultra-fine dining restaurant - a destination food-based space for locals and visitors. I want it to be somewhere very special," explained Mr Bacon.
At the time of the area's development, the Financial Times compared the Spinningfields to Canary Wharf in London and La Defence in Paris.
