A new TV series will see a hospitality expert revamping failing village pubs.
Award-winning landlord Jay Smith will star in Save Our Boozer, which will show on TV channel UKTV Blighty.
Each episode of the series will see Jay offering guidance to pub landlords and getting entire communities to help support their watering holes, protecting pub jobs.
Speaking to Eating Out magazine, Jay said: "These boozers are the backbone of British society. Lose them and we lose our identity. I want this series to really inspire people to get on board with my passion - to bring back the great British boozer."
Pubs in five communities will take part in the show, which has already helped the Yarcombe Inn in Devon reopen its doors thanks to the help of local volunteers who helped out behind the bar for free.
The show will hit TV screens in December this year.
It has been a tough year for British pubs, however the latest quarterly barometer from the British Beer & Pub Association showed a 0.8 per cent decline in beer sales for the third quarter, suggesting things may be stabilising.
