Around 100 pub jobs are set to be created in Torquay as JD Wetherspoon opens a new outlet in the town.
The Green Ginger, which is located in the Fleet Walk shopping centre, is set to open on Friday November 27th after a £780,000 development project.
It will have two bars and a dance area and is licensed to open until 03:00 GMT on Fridays and Saturdays.
Food will be served throughout the day and the pub also benefits from an outside smoking area.
Recently, JD Wetherspoon revealed that its sales from outlets open for at least a year grew by 0.3 per cent in the 13 weeks to October 25th when compared to 2008.
Speaking to the Guardian, Nigel Parson, spokesperson for investment firm Evolution Securities, predicted that an improving market could mean the chain opens outlets in the near future, possible creating new pub jobs.
