A new pub will be opening near Glasgow in time for Halloween, creating as many as 20 new bar jobs in Scotland.

The Urban Pub Company is planning to launch the Fox & Ferret on Townhead Street, Hamilton, on October 27th, reports STV.

Formerly known as Amigo's Bar, the site has been extensively renovated and totally rebranded, making way for a new drinking venue and restaurant.

As well as creating opportunities for bar staff, the Fox & Ferret will also provide a number of chef jobs and front-of-house positions.

Graham Sutherland, managing director at the Urban Pub Company, said he was excited to be opening in such a "prime location" near Glasgow.

"We chose Hamilton because the pub is in a great part of the town. People can expect good quality food at reasonable prices, with drink as well," he added.

Last month, it was reported that JD Wetherspoon would soon be opening a new venue, creating 40 new pub jobs, in Cumbernauld Shopping Centre, not far from Glasgow.
