Global expansion plans for Marc restaurants

At least 11 more restaurants are set to be opened by the Marlon Abela Restaurant Corporation (Marc), its founder has revealed.
Marlon Abela, who spent time heading up his father's Abela Group contract catering business in Europe before starting Marc in 2001, told the London Paper that he has ambitious plans for growth in the next few years.
In addition to private members club Morton's, Mr Abela already owns Kyoto-style Japanese restaurant Umu and the European cuisine hotpsot Greenhouse in London.
In the US, he owns Italian venue A Voce in New York and casual fine dining restaurant Gaia in the exclusive town of Greenwich, Connecticut.
Speaking about the future of the business, he said: "I believe that in the next five years we will have at least seven A Voces, another Umu in its current form, probably in New York, and two or three larger Umus.
"And we're developing a new concept, a bistro, in London."
Those seeking restaurant work at one of his venues may be will advised to ensure they are at the top of their game, with Mr Abela renowned for his attention to detail.
Mr Abela explained: "I go to taste the food, so when I go I don't have one dish or two dishes, I have ten dishes."
