Baxters looks set to create new hospitality jobs in Scotland as it prepares to open five new food outlets, according to the Daily Record.
The newspaper reports that the brand famous for its soups and jams has plans to grow its business in Scotland over the next two years, starting with the opening of a new venue in the border town of Selkirk.
As well as retail staff, the firm is on the look out for people interested in working as a chef at the new outlet, as well catering assistants, kitchen porters and a delicatessen specialist.
Nicola Duffy, who works as operations manager at a Baxters store in Edinburgh and will be assisting with the launch of the Selkirk branch, said: "To work for Baxters, you have to be innovative and think of things from the customers' perspective.
"You have to exceed their expectations, not just meet them."
The firm also intends to open four further stores before the end of 2010, the newspaper added.
Baxters currently has stores located in Blackford, Fochabers and Edinburgh, all of which boast a range of restaurants and cafes.
