A new initiative designed to position Pizza Hut as a family-friendly dining experience is to see the chain launch 25 new restaurants, it has been revealed.
According to the Scotsman, the firm is planning to make itself attractive to families by revamping its existing properties with new child-friendly facilities and launching a slew of brand new outposts.
Pizza Hut is expected to focus on expanding its presence at retail and mixed-use developments, rather than growing its high-street business.
A spokesman for the chain told the newspaper: "We are moving more and more into casual dining with a particular focus on families and children. The new restaurants will be very child friendly.
"This is all part of the brand relaunch which will take Pizza Hut to the next level and accommodate their shift into casual dining."
Pizza Hut launched its first UK eatery in 1973 and now employs staff in restaurant work roles at 697 outlets across the country, offering desserts, salads and pasta dishes in addition to pizza.
