An Indian restaurant and banqueting chain is to open a new eatery in the UK before the middle of next year, according to reports.
Kambala Hospitality operates a number of food service outlets across India, including Rudey's Forest Cafe, Umraoo Jaan and Coconut, as well as Imperial Banquets, which caters for functions and special events.
Its most popular brand is Village, which has four outposts across India and serves a diverse range of dishes from across the country, with diners invited to pay a cover-charge instead of paying for the individual items they order.
TravelBizMonitor.com reports that Kambala Hospitality now plans to bring the Village concept to the UK by mid-2009, although it is not yet known of if the new eatery will offer the same traditional music and dance performances that its Indian counterparts do.
The location of the new restaurant, which is also known as the Soul of India, has not been confirmed.
The brand is also poised to create new restaurant work roles in other international markets, including the US and the United Arab Emirates, by mid-2009.
