Japanese eatery Bincho Yakitori is to launch a second outpost in London and is mulling further expansion, it has been revealed.
The eatery, which is located in the Oxo Tower on the Southbank, specialises in modern Japanese cuisine, with those employed in chef roles at the venue cooking dishes over charcoal in an open-plan kitchen while diners look on.
Co-owner Dominic Ford told Caterersearch that the brand is poised to open a new 115-cover eatery in Old Compton Street in Soho next month, with those working as a chef at the new outpost gearing up to cook on five yakitori grills in full-view of patrons.
He commented: "The Oxo Tower restaurant is our flagship outlet while the Soho venture will be a smaller restaurant and one we're hoping to roll out across the capital.
"We're also working on a third concept comprising smaller outlets set around a central island with between 20 and 30 covers."
Mr Ford is also behind other London eateries, such as the Tamesa@oxo bar & brasserie and the Butcher & Grill.
