Sam Tate, a chef and restaurant owner from Stroud, has been chosen to work at Gordon Ramsay's Murano establishment in Mayfair, London, which is due to open in August, it has been reported,.

After playing a role in the expansion of a bar-restaurant and hotel chain, Mr Tate will be pursuing a new path, working alongside Angela Hartnett, who is described as a top chef and a "protege" of Ramsay's, according to the Forester.

Christophe Coquoin, a chef who helped teach the restaurateur in the art of catering at the Old Fleece, told the publication: "Sam has been at the heart of our business since we started. This is an exciting opportunity....to work with one of the greatest chefs in the country."

This achievement reflects an interesting concept for talented individuals interested in working as a chef and turning it into a long-term career.

Murano's is described as an "intimate" 40-diner venue, where patrons can view chefs at work in the kitchen before their food is brought out.

In other news, Gordon Ramsay recently had an accident in Iceland where he fell from a cliff and into freezing cold water, reported the Telegraph.

He was later given first-aid at his hotel.
