New restaurant brand for London

A restaurateur is planning to launch a new brand in London, despite the challenging economic conditions, it has been reported.
The first Wagamama was opened by Alan Yau in Bloomsbury during the last recession back in 1992, reports the Times.
Now Mr Yau is about to launch the second outlet of his new Cha Cha Moon noodle bar, having gained experience of a tough financial climate which may interest those looking for catering recruitment.
Speaking of the connection between the two periods, Mr Yau said today's economic circumstances are "very similar" to those of the early 1990s.
"Good budget restaurants tend to thrive in times of recession, so you could say that this is actually an opportune moment for a brand like Cha Cha Moon," Mr Yau said. "An economic slowdown could be simply interpreted as an opportunity for a new creative challenge."
Meanwhile, Alistair Houghton recently wrote in the Liverpool Daily Post advising restaurants to implement strategies for January, which is a traditionally a slow month for trade.
