Dream job for young chef

A rising star has been given the dream job of head chef at a top restaurant in the north-east, reports the Sunderland Echo.
Max Wilson has been promoted at Seaham Hall's White Room after the previous head chef, Kenny Atkinson, left at the end of last year to work at Rockliffe Hall near Darlington.
The departure of Mr Atkinson saw the restaurant lose its Michelin Star and, while Mr Wilson admits it would be nice to renew the star, pleasing customers is his major aim.
Mr Wilson told the news provider: "My priority is cooking for the customers and if accolades come with that, fantastic, and that's not to say it's not what I want to achieve."
He will take over a team of seven chefs but should be up to the task as he has worked at six other award-winning restaurants including eateries in Switzerland and the French Alps.
Selin Kiazim, a junior chef at The Providores in Marylebone, recently won the opportunity to work in the world's best restaurant after being crowned Spanish Young Chef of the Year.
