A top restaurant manager has been given a new role at the Crowne Plaza Kensington in London, reports Eat Out Magazine.

Gavin Boyer will become the establishment's new food and drink manager.

Prior to this latest role he was restaurant manager at an international boutique restaurant in Brisbane, he then moved to work at the Malmaison Hotel Oxford as supervisor and duty manager, and most recently launched Jamie Oliver's flagship Jamie's Italian as restaurant manager.

Mr Boyer will take care of all the hotel's food and drink and train staff to help them provide excellent and innovative service.

He told the news provider: "I am thrilled to be part of Crowne Plaza Kensington. As a relatively newly refurbished property, there is a fantastic opportunity to create some real excitement about the hotel's restaurant and bar facilities."

Jamie Oliver's flagship Italian restaurant was praised by three-quarters of the 8,000 diners surveyed by Harden's UK Restaurant Guide 2010 – an impressive feat considering other celebrity spin-offs have been lambasted in the past.ADNFCR-1372-ID-19599511-ADNFCR
