Sous chef jobs could be available in Norwich when a new Italian-style Prezzo restaurant opens next week on the site of the former Cafe Uno in Tombland.

It cost £500,000 to redevelop over a ten-week period and is expected to create 16 jobs for the area in total, reports the Eastern Daily Press.

As part of the redevelopment, the building's original Regency features have been restored.

Prezzo opened its first outlet in London in 2000 and has expanded across the UK since then, now operating around 150 branches. Chief executive Jonathan Kaye was named Restaurateur of the Year in the Caterer and Hotelkeeper Catey Awards 2011.

Helena Pogymik, who will manage the new outlet, said she hoped diners would be impressed with the changes in the building.

"The restaurant will serve the highest quality food in comfortable and stylish surroundings and I'm certain it will be a good addition to the social scene in Norwich," she added.
