EDP24.com reported on the former Quality Hotel at Bowthorpe, which has now been rebranded The Brook Hotel Norwich.

Now the 82-bedroom hotel has been given a new exterior branding, as well as a refurbished restaurant and gardens.

Hotel manager Nicoletta Fica told the news provider that the GS Hotels establishment has been reborn.

The Central Riverside Travelodge just off Prince of Wales Road in Norwich created 25 hotel jobs when it opened – at a cost of £3 million – earlier in December.

And boss Liam Swift says that the first few weeks have been a great success.

Mr Swift, Travelodge's district manager for East Anglia, told the news provider: "The new hotel has been virtually full since we opened so it's been a good start. There is a good mix of corporate and leisure businesses in Norwich and it is proving an increasingly popular tourist destination."
